But in line with all the other delays my laptop has packed it in and the finished film resides as an uncompressed DigiBeta file on an NTFS USB drive which I cannot access with my Windows Me music workstation (NTFS98 only gives me the BSOD). Which means I will have to bring it into work and compress it on a 700MHz Celeron - on a day when there is not much else to do as the machine only has 1.1 USB ports and not enough space on its own harddisk for a ~15GB video file.
Sometimes I wonder if this film didn't want to get made...

Thanks for the offer, miker. I managed to access the drive read-only in a DOS box and will compress it using Virtual Dub's command line options, saving it on the FAT32 volume.
I can now pass off as an IT consultant after all the computing I've been through to get that thing made...

I've just watched the dvd after finally picking up my post...
In terms of music (which I did... [in a week I may add!]) there are a few things I would change.... the starting cue seems too intrusive - needs to be taken down.... as does the last cue... in fact needs to be very slowly faded in so that you can't hear the overly synthy strings.
None of it is in the right place (we had originally planned for 30 seconds of titles before hand I was told so that maybe why) although I'm quite satisfied with most of the placement of it... apart from the volume issues in some areas.
